Culture Galore 2010 on 13 March will celebrate the colourful diversity of Christchurch’s community with music, dance, food and arts and crafts from more than 50 cultures.The multi-cultural festival, which has been running for the past 10 years, will be held at Ray Blank Park on Maidstone Rd from midday to 4pm.

A vision for one of Christchurch's most prominent parks is outlined in a draft management plan for Canterbury Park that opens for consultation on Monday, 8 March.Canterbury Park, located off Wigram Road, is second in size only to Hagley Park within the City's urban area. The vision of the plan is for a similar level of accessibility and community value as that achieved for Hagley Park.

In the world of floral art the term “arrangements” is well and truly outdated, which is why you won’t hear it when you enter the Floral Art Marquee at the Ellerslie International Flower Show.
According to Canterbury Area representative of the Floral Art Society of New Zealand, Heather Sibley, floral art is about design not flower arranging and is attracting an ever increasing number of followers.
